Printers Make a Point

My most important lesson of the week, courtesy of the corporate PR world: without computers you have NOTHING. No productivity, no happiness, and in my case, no fun. We bought a new printer this week and instead of being a 1 page per second, indestructible machine (as it looks) it has thrown the whole office into chaos thanks to its unfortunate interaction with another printer. We can't print and our computers have become almost as bad as my Dell laptop at home (don't even get me started). So instead of turning to other, computerless work, we realize that IT DOESN'T EXIST. Everyone has been in the worst of moods.

I think this brings up an important point (althought not too original) about the future of Public Relations. No one is using those big, fat Bacon's books anymore. Everything that is worth seeing is online. If I want news, I turn to my Google Reader- I don't turn on the TV or open a newspaper. So I think any agency that hasn't devoted a large part of their attention to Internet PR might as well start packing up their stuff and closing the doors. I feel bad for those other interns putting together mailings in the mail room....

On a completely unrelated note (and this is how this blog is going to be), today is casual day at work, giving me the perfect opportunity to finally wear my new Juicy Couture 63 Logo Tee.
Gorgeous, right? I've already been complimented on it by 3 people. I know one person that won't be complimenting it...Keenan, when I take my weekly drive down the parkway to see him tonight. He just doesn't understand that sometimes you have to pay good money for good things...
